Director, Marketing

We are looking for a Director, Marketing to join our Marketing team within our Winnipeg head office located at 140 Otter Street.

As Director, Marketing you will lead a talented team of marketing creatives and drive the strategic planning and execution of corporate marketing initiatives & events. You will be responsible for creating compelling content for various media channels, presentations, and marketing collateral, ensuring consistent messaging across our corporate and subsidiary brands. Additionally, you will focus on the planning and logistics for an extensive calendar of corporate events, including industry tradeshows and conferences.

What You’ll Do
  • Create and manage annual plans and budgets for content programs, articles, advertisements, social media.
  • Manage website strategy and content for Pollard and ensure consistent branding and integration of subsidiary websites.
  • Drive development of topics and content for presentations at conferences and events from ideation to drafting and finalization.  Develop processes that streamline content selection, development, review and sharing.  Collaborate with the Insights & Analytics team to identify and communicate meaningful and impactful stories from data and research.
  • Develop and manage execution of annual plans and budgets for all industry conferences, tradeshows, and memberships. Develop messaging, graphics and media, and booth designs and displays (for samples, products, equipment) all events.
  • Resource and manage Marketing team activities to ensure dates, deliverables, and quality outputs.
  • As needed, develop project plans and work-back schedules to manage project teams and activities.
  • Build and manage cooperative relationships with partners, subsidiaries, and industry alliances and associations to maximize positioning of Pollard in the sector.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and advance their capabilities with appropriate opportunities, development, and training.
  • Business travel up 15% may be required.

What You’ll Bring
  • Post-secondary education in related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years’ experience in Marketing.
  • 5+ years’ people leadership experience.
  • Proven ability creating and managing marketing budgets.
  • Sound judgement and strong decision-making skills.
  • Experience translating market data and research into impactful stories.
  • Experience supporting and executing promotional initiatives.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to adapt within a fast-moving and results oriented environment.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Lottery industry experience is considered an asset.
