We are looking for an SAP Solution Architect to join our team. Under the general direction of the SAP ECC Support Services Lead or
SAP Applications department manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management of the architecture and
integration of the SAP for Utilities implementation project. The SAP Solution Architect brings extensive knowledge of the existing
SAP technical and architectural landscape to the implementation project team and helps ensure that the SAP system aligns with the
organization's business needs, processes, and objectives. It requires a combination of technical knowledge, project management
skills, and a deep understanding of the business operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide SAP technical and architectural leadership within the project team, acting as the team lead for solution architecture.
  • Work with Enterprise Architecture, SAP Development, and infrastructure teams to produce an optimal, high-level, conceptual SAP design for Manitoba Hydro.
  • Responsible for identifying the target applications and updating the target application landscape.
  • Approve technical architecture designs and lead SAP technical design sessions with the broader team (including infrastructure and development teams).
  • Leverage the existing program roadmap, charter etc., to recommend solutions and initiatives, and provide inputs on key decisions for business prioritization and identified business requirements.
  • Create and document SAP solution architecture through Business Process Documents (BPDs), Configuration Rationale Documents (CRDs), etc.
  • Communicate with project leadership regarding technical architecture design.
  • Understand Manitoba Hydro requirements and support the RFx completion in support of the roadmap.
  • Participate in meetings with all Manitoba Hydro business unit stakeholders during high-level scoping and design.
  • Collaborate with the SAP Integrator Solution Architect and Basis team to define, review, and approve key deliverables such as the Technical Architecture Design document.
  • Review and approve key technical operation activities with the SAP Integrator Solution Architect.
  • Define and ensure all technical requirements and integrations are met for each project phase.
  • Partner with business process owners, champions, and other key stakeholders to understand the high-level requirements and business objectives of the solution architecture.
  • Coordinate with functional, technical, deployment leads etc., on process, solution, data, integration, architecture, development, security, and reporting decisions.
Qualifications:
  • A four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, or Information Management from a university of recognized standing with a minimum of five years of directly applicable systems analysis, systems architecture, and programming experience, which includes a minimum of three years of computer systems analysis/architecture experience.
OR
  • A two-year diploma in Computer Programming Technology or Business Administration from an institute of recognized standing with a minimum of seven years of directly applicable systems analysis, systems architecture, and programming experience, which includes a minimum of three years of computer systems analysis/architecture experience.
  • Possess strong strategic and tactical planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make and implement well-reasoned decisions, possess an organized, analytical nature, and be self-motivating with out of box thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues, both strategic and tactical, that represent the best overall interests of the enterprise.
  • Demonstrated understanding of on-premise and cloud SAP solution architecture and SAP module experience.
  • Overall solution architecture expertise in more than one of the functional workstreams (i.e., FICO, SD, SF, EWM, Ariba).
  • Expertise in SAP S/4 HANA with relevant implementation experience.
  • Worked on implementation RFx's as a solution architect responsible for designing end to end solutions.
  • Prior business development experience (at least 3-4 years with Utilities, overall 10-14 years) with exposure to SAP solution delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to document and model complex business processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff at all levels.
Salary Range

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $46.99-$64.87 Hourly,
$90,034.62-$124,304.18 Annually.
