SECURITY ANALYST (BRANDON, MB)

What you’ll do:
- Create and maintain WCG’s security architecture design.
- Research, analyze, recommend, and implement different systems required to operate and manage the security infrastructure.
- Develop, maintain, and implement business continuity and disaster recovering strategies for the IT infrastructure.
- Participate in periodic threat/risk assessments, research security enhancements, and make recommendations.
- Help create technical solutions to business problems or challenges related to the security infrastructure.
- Provide direction and oversight to internal contacts relating to security, particularly during implementations and changes.
- Maintain detailed documentation for overall security infrastructure.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Possession of two or more approved security certificates and/or completion of other approved security related training may substitute for some or all the required education.
- Minimum 5 years experience in IT with extensive experience and knowledge in information systems security.
- Working knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and IT control Frameworks such as CIS, CSA, NIST, ISO, PCI, COBIT.
- Experience working with/implementing technologies such as Firewalls/NGFW/WAF, PAM, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Email security, and vulnerability scanners.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of scripting languages (Power Shell, Bash, PHP, Perl, Python etc.).
- Excellent networking knowledge (TCP/IP networking and core technologies, such as VPN, routing, HTTP, DNS, etc.).
- Knowledge of Linux and general Linux support issues.
- Proficiency in supporting information security issues and controls.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and be bondable.
