INFRASTRUCTURE ANALYST (BRANDON, MB)

What you’ll do:
- Procure, install, configure, and troubleshoot end-user computer hardware, software, and equipment.
- Research, analyze, recommend, and implement systems required to operate and manage the IT infrastructure.
- Collaborate internally on WCG service offering and competitive products.
- Complete required software upgrades to the infrastructure components timely.
- Ensure that the network systems have automated monitoring that is capable of identifying problems proactively.
- Resolve trouble reports from monitoring system in accordance with the operations Service Level Objectives
- Support Windows and Linux server operating systems used to support internet and data services (Active Directly, DHCP, DNS, TFTP, etc.).
- Provide training as required to internal staff and external clients.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in network services field including hands-on experience with IT infrastructure.
- Excellent knowledge/experience in:
- Enterprise level firewalls and gateway devices.
- Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 environments.
- VMware, storage systems/clusters, and other IT infrastructure components.
- Unix based (Linux, Ubuntu, Cent OS etc.) operating systems.
- IT infrastructure standards and configuration best practices.
- Scripting languages (Power Shell, Bash, PHP, Perl, Python etc.).
- Networking (TCP/IP networking and core technologies, such as VPN, routing, HTTP, DNS, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of RF fundamentals as it applies to cable networks.
- Knowledge of RF fundamentals as it applies to cable networks.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and be available to be on call.
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and be bondable.
