Jr. Network & Technology Services (NATS) Analyst (Summer Term)

What you’ll do:
  • Assist in the design and implementation activities for access network upgrade projects 
  • Assist with the implementation for the delivery of voice, video, and data projects and WMB circuits.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed network level architecture documentation (diagrams, processes, procedures)
  • Aid in implementing automated monitoring that is capable of identifying problems proactively, and assist in resolving all trouble reports from monitoring system. 
  • Monitor primary services required for the proper operation of video network platforms and voice services.
  • Maintain documentation on emergency recovery procedures as required for the delivery of video, voice, and data network services.
What you’ll bring to the team:
  • Minimum 1 year of post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in an ISP or MSO environment and/or experience with IP Networks is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP networking and core technologies, such as VPN, routing, HTTP, DNS, etc.). 
  • Knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure standards and configuration best practices.
  • Knowledge of Linux and general Linux support issues.
  • Knowledge of scripting language for task automation (PHP, Perl, Python etc.).
  • Must have a basic understanding of the technical fundamentals of the internet and IP Protocols, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and applications.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and be bondable.
