Information Security Officer
Location: Portage la Prairie, MB, is the preferred Service Centre location for this position, however other MASC Service Centre locations will also be considered. There may be an opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement.

Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, the Information Security Officer (ISO) is responsible for the design, implementation, and monitoring of controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of MASC information and systems.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in network and digital security with emphasis on implementing information security best practices.
- Experience with Agile and ITIL best practices, such as ITIL v4.
- Experience with cloud-based services such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Experience performing internal audits and ensuring compliance with third party auditors.
- Experience delivering customer service excellence.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to articulate security-related and technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Knowledge of performing digital risk analysis.
- Knowledge of security systems including network, system, and application layers.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of modern application programming and scripting practices, is an asset.
- Digital certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker, is an asset.
- Security certifications such as NIST Cyber Security or Microsoft Certified Cyber Security Architect expert, is an asset.
- Control frameworks training such as COBIT or SABSA, is an asset.
- Ability to communicate verbally in both official languages (French and English), is an asset.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must possess a valid driver’s licence, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel within the Province of Manitoba.
SALARY: $77,808 – 101,904 per annum (under review)
