POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Term Position Available (anticipated April 21, 2025 up to March 30, 2029)
SALARY: $75,400 - $106,277 per annum
POSITION LOCATION: Various Campus Locations

DUTIES
The Industry Liaison Manager for the Digital Technology Transformation Initiative (DTTI) will serve as a business development role to identify and advance qualified industry partnerships and projects across the College. Reporting to the Research Program Manager for DTTI, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of how digital technologies and processes can be effectively utilized within industry. This is a professional position that combines applied research business development, project management and administrative responsibilities. The Industry Liaison Manager is responsible for facilitating and supporting applied research in collaboration with RRC Polytech's faculty, staff and students. Project Management duties are associated with applied research projects involving community-based partners and college research centers. Duties of this role include identifying and pursuing complementary funding opportunities, networking with local businesses, agencies and other educational institutions, supporting marketing and communication activities, supporting internal and external (adjunct) faculty to bring applied research activity to the college, and preparing documentation to meet reporting requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical Degree in a related field. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in project management
- Experience conducting research and familiarity with research management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience building relationships in the Canadian digital technology/information technology industry and strong industry networking skills
- Demonstrated research dissemination ability, such as technical reports, patents, conference presentations and publications
- Ability to undertake multiple tasks with limited supervision
- Familiarity with intellectual property and technology commercialization
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Strong computer skills, especially with the Microsoft Suite
- Ability to think critically and problem solve
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of funding programs and requirements (Tricouncil, federal, provincial, other)
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
