Michael is an IT Security Leader with over two decades of experience in building and leading Information Security, Cyber-Risk and compliancy programs at the enterprise level.
Michael’s previous work includes serving as Head of Information Security for large utility company and numerous Senior InfoSec and Cyber-Risk roles in Oil & Gas, Energy, Financial Services, Telecommunications and Manufacturing sectors. Today, Michael provides Cyber-security and Cyber-risk consulting and guidance to numerous companies.
Michael is an active member of the security community where he serves on two boards including (ISC)² Alberta and Security Professionals Information Exchange (SPIE).
Keynote Presenter:
Paul Grégoire is a Senior Information Security Architect and Risk Management Professional with over 20 years of experience in Information Security. He holds 10 industry certifications including; Digital Forensics, Ethical Hacking, Risk, Privacy, Audit and Compliance disciplines. He has accumulated extensive experience designing Information Security Architecture and Risk Management programs for financial institutions, small and large enterprises, municipalities and government agencies across Canada.
Paul has been a PCI QSA subject matter expert for SC Magazine, Corus Radio and CTV News, speaking on internet and Payment Card Industry security.
Paul was the lead information security architect advisor and QSA that designed a PCI DSS compliant check capture system that processes over 70% of Canadian check processing.
Paul was the Lead Information Risk & Privacy consultant for the development of a Security Data Governance and Privacy program for a fraud analytics and countermeasures solution. This solution is used by multiple tier1 and tier 2 Canadian financial institutions. His most recent projects focused on compliance assessments, risk and vulnerability analysis for Fortune 1 to 5 companies on the global stage.
