As a member of the Delivery Management Office (DMO), the Project Manager plays a lead role in the delivery of enterprise business application initiatives, including CRM (Salesforce) and other platforms that advance organizational strategy and drive outcomes across Sales, Service, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. In this role, you’ll lead projects, drive outcomes through influence, collaboration, and strong cross-functional partnerships. You will translate strategic objectives into executable delivery plans, lead cross-functional teams, and be accountable for the planning, execution, and delivery of large transformation projects while managing scope, budget, schedule, risk, and quality, all while upholding Payworks’ commitment to customer-first and people-first values.

LEAD. DELIVER. TRANSFORM. – IT’S WHAT YOU’LL DO
+ Drive enterprise project delivery – You will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of enterprise application projects and cross-functional initiatives. Manage multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring projects are executed on time, within scope, and aligned to defined business objectives.
+ Connect teams and strategy – Serve as a key connector between business and technology. You will manage cross-program dependencies, facilitate kickoffs and delivery reviews, and promote transparency through structured communication and stakeholder engagement.
+ Manage vendors and resources – Oversee relationships with implementation partners, consultants, and third-party vendors. Coordinate deliverables, timelines, and quality expectations while providing budget oversight and resource allocation across initiatives.
+ Mitigate risk and resolve issues – Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and roadblocks; implement mitigation strategies; and serve as an escalation point for project-related issues. Identify and coordinate compliance requirements as applicable.
+ Champion continuous improvement – Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance delivery frameworks. Leverage project data and KPIs to drive best practices and facilitate post-project reviews to capture lessons learned.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
+ 5+ years of project management experience with significant focus on enterprise business application delivery (Salesforce, CRM, ERP, or similar large-scale platforms).
+ Expertise managing projects spanning multiple business functions, including concurrent initiatives with cross-departmental coordination.
+ Deep knowledge of enterprise business application platforms with the ability to balance business needs, platform constraints, and long-term maintainability.
+ Exceptional communication skills with ability to engage executive, business, and technical stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business value.
+ Strong vendor and partner management experience, including implementation partners, system integrators, and consulting teams.
+ Budget oversight and financial management capabilities, with ability to track expenditures, forecast costs, and flag variances.
+ Highly adaptable and collaborative mindset with a strong sense of accountability and commitment to continuous improvement.
+ Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, SharePoint) and Agile methodologies.
+ Post-secondary degree in Business, Project Management, Technology, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
BONUS SKILL SET
+ Salesforce certifications and/or PMP, change management certifications are considered a strong asset.
+ Solid understanding of Human Capital Management or payroll systems is considered an asset.
+ Comfortable adopting new tools and technologies; open to using Generative AI tools like Claude to improve delivery.
