As part of the BBM Technical Sales team in Manitoba, the CSEIA Internetworking Advisor (CSEIA) is responsible for the design, implementation and documentation of Cisco IP/Ethernet LAN and WAN networks for business customers within Manitoba.  The CSEIA provides consulting and professional services for customers considering, implementing or deploying new Bell MTS products and services. The CSEIA also provides professional services to investigate and correct under-performing or failed customer networks.  The CSEIA is often engaged to provide technical support for internal teams, particularly when related to the interoperability of Bell MTS products and services and the customer network. 

Accountabilities :

  • Design, implementation and documentation of Cisco IP/Ethernet LAN and WAN networks
  • Conduct network assessments:
    • Diagnose performance and reliability problems
    • Develop evidence based reports
    • Present recommendations to customers
  • Identify customer requirements and objectives during pre-sale consultations
  • Develop Statements of Work
  • Provide sales teams with accurate and reasonable estimates of time to complete objectives
  • Represent customer’s technical interests within Bell MTS
  • Collaborate with sales and/or internal project teams to share information and facilitate proper implementations of Bell MTS services


Consulting Qualifications :

  • Experience working with external customers
  • Proven ability to:
    • Translate technical issues into business language
    • Conduct in depth technical discussions
    • Confidently make technical decisions and recommendations for customers
    • Identify and convert opportunities into professional services engagements
    • Conduct customer needs analysis and prepare professional service scope of work, proposal, and contract documents
    • Collect data, analyze information and develop feasible recommendations
    • Translate technical issues into business benefits and opportunities


Technical Qualifications :

  • Current Cisco Professional level certification such as CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security
  • Over 10 years of experience implementing and supporting:
    • Complex, multi-site, enterprise networks with VoIP / UC solutions
    • On-premise web and application hosting
  • Over 5 years of experience as principal designer for complex, enterprise networks
  • Subject matter expert / deep knowledge of enterprise networking technologies and Cisco hardware and software including:
    • Cisco routers
    • Cisco Catalyst and Business Series switches
    • Cisco Firepower
    • Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client
    • Cisco Aironet and Catalyst W-Fi products
  • Demonstrated understanding of:
    • Modern IT facilities
    • Ethernet technologies
    • LAN/WAN routing and switching
    • IPv4 address subnetting
    • Network isolation technologies
    • Internet standards
    • Differentiated Service QoS relating to VoIP
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing:
    • Campus LAN networks
    • Modern Cisco FlexVPN Virtual Private Networks
    • Integration of networks with public and private services, such as:
    • High speed VDSL
    • Dedicated Internet Access
    • MPLS private WAN service
    • LAN extensions such as EVPN and VPLS
  • Thorough understanding of:
    • Multi-protocol BGP used in L3VPN MPLS service provider networks
    • BGP, OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols deployed within a customer network
    • Ability to create low-level detail network diagrams and other technical documents


Other Considerations :

  • Ability to work flex hours when required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work inside air conditioned server rooms and data centers
  • Will need to travel within Manitoba (valid Drivers’ License required)
  • Significant amount of work conducted onsite at customer locations throughout Manitoba
  • Eligible for Sales Compensation plan
  • No “on-call” schedule
  • Company funded training
