Overview: The Digital Health program of Manitoba Shared Health provides overall planning and support for clinical and business systems within organizations delivering health care services in Manitoba. The Department of Cancer Clinical Information Management (CCIM) at CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB) works in collaboration with Digital Health to maintain high-quality, electronic health records and ensure smooth cancer treatment operations including radiation treatment and chemotherapy administration. CCIM at CCMB is also responsible for the capturing of all clinical information, ensuring accuracy and timely provision to cancer services providers in Manitoba. CCIM also advances projects that support the achievement of CCMB's mandate and strategic priorities across the spectrum of its services. In addition to clinical services, CCMB maintains business systems which advance programs related to cancer screening, cancer surveillance and screening data. CCMB also has the mandate to carry out research that can bring high-quality treatment to Manitobans and CCIM plays a critical role in facilitating research including clinical trials. Under the direction of the Chief of Corporate Services and Finance, the Director, Cancer Informatics and Innovation provides strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of the planning and implementation of CCIM department activities while ensuring overall operational efficiency and effectiveness. The Director also plays a key role in advancing research objectives using technical expertise and incorporating innovation and best practices. The Director also acts as CCMB's Personal Health Information Privacy Officer to facilitate compliance of the Personal Health Information Act of Manitoba.

Qualifications:

Required:
* Bachelor’s degree in technology, computer science, management information systems, engineering, or health informatics from an accredited institution. A combination of education and experience may be considered as determined by CCMB.
* A minimum of seven years' related experience supporting a wide range of complex information systems and infrastructure in a technology-enabled environment
* A minimum of five years' experience in managing people and/or operations
* A minimum of five years' experience influencing mid and senior management, key stakeholders and collaborating with vendors on outsourced services
* A minimum of three years' demonstrated experience developing/conceptualizing, implementing and monitoring strategic initiatives
* Satisfactory Employment record
* Must be legally able to work in Canada

To be determined on the interview process:
* Demonstrated senior-level leadership capabilities. The provincial health system in Manitoba has adopted the LEADS in a Caring Environment
* Proven success in managing and developing teams through strong leadership and mentorship and building collaborative relationships within teams and colleagues in a complex environment
* Excellent risk mitigation and problem-solving skills
* Strong business acumen including finance and budgeting and negotiation
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare various documents/reports and make presentations
* Demonstrated ability to think critically and formulate recommendations to senior leadership

Preferred:
* Master’s degree in a discipline related to the position, Master of Business Administration, or equivalent
* Demonstrated experience in informatics in a multi-stakeholder environment
* Demonstrated experience related to leveraging technology to achieve objectives in a health or research environment

Asset:
* Ability to speak French

Salary:
*Non-Union (Compensation based on qualifications)
