Senior Business Analyst (Contract)

ID Fusion is looking to hire on contract an experienced Business Analyst looking for a contract engagement. As a Senior Business Analyst, a typical day might include the following:
 

  • Liaise with clients, business representatives and other professionals to analyze the business needs of clients and stakeholders to identify business problems.
  • Gather requirements with stakeholders and users to identify goals, user needs, drivers for change, current processes, pain points, risks, external factors, what the solution needs to do and what may be viable solution options
  • Identify what is behind and underneath the requirement as well as identifying the root cause of issues  
  • Evaluate opportunities for process re-design based on best practices and work with architects to propose solutions
  • Be involved in business case development as well as coordination and facilitation of user sessions and group meetings.
  • Produce understandable documentation such as requirements, solution overviews, wireframes, solution designs, process maps, flow charts and other project documentation
  • Liaise with technical staff on the development and actualization of the requirements
  • Using best practices, facilitate research, planning, costing and implementation of business solutions to provide technical expertise and leadership in the assessment and development of software applications
  • Assist the business to translate business requirements to business models and solutions.
  • Identify and prioritize system functionality based on the requirements
  • Perform research and evaluate possible technologies or vendor solutions that are available to address the solution requirements
  • Liaison with end-users, vendors and programmers
  • Learn how to use and configure vendor software solutions
  • Identify at a high-level how systems will talk to each other and what may be the interactions between them
  • Build and create successful arguments or business cases to support the solution recommendations
  • Provide client consulting and technical support services on project implementation
  • Support in the estimation of project effort, costs and timelines
  • Lead small project engagements and provide project leadership to local and remote team members.
  • Provide support for the team to coordinate project kickoff, project pilot tests, user acceptance testing (UAT), training and launch
  • Writing test cases, perform testing, quality assurance and act as a liaison between users and the development team during UAT
  • Participate as a team member in cross-functional and cross-organizational teams
  • Liaise with the project team to execute a stakeholder communication plan
  • Develop and deliver support and training materials or training sessions
  • Provide customer support over the phone and via the ticketing system
  • Review, investigate and assess incoming customer support tickets. Escalate technical tickets to the development team
  • Support project intake activities, planning, scheduling, tracking, management and closure activities
  • Provide support to prepare various reports: project status reports, risk reports, vendor research reports and other project-related reports
  • Provide sales support and initial client solution design and scoping efforts for new sales opportunities
  • Provide support to create and document client statements of work and proposals 
  • Proactively identify project risks that may impact the team’s ability to deliver on time and budget
  • Track, document and produce project change requests 
  • Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for improving processes, communications and operating efficiencies for clients and internal company operations
  • Collaborate in writing internal company documentation, processes and manuals to support company operations
 
 Required Job Skills:
 
  • Minimum of 8+ years in providing Business Analysis for technology projects
  • Relevant University degree or college diploma
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal and superior relationship management skills
