Create a support system through Peer-to-Peer Support Training 

Tech Manitoba's Peer-to-Peer Support Training is a specialized, professional development workshop for people who identify as women. The two-day training is designed as an intimate, safe environment where participants from different disciplines and backgrounds can share their experiences and perspectives to gain a better understanding of their uniqueness and similarities. 

The hands-on workshop empowers participants with the tools and resources to learn from each other, communicate effectively and reinforce strength in the community. 

Training outcomes: 

• Gain an understanding of peer support fundamentals and how to apply them effectively when supporting peers 

• Gain an understanding of the importance of self-care and how to apply the practice in their lives.

Training schedule 

This training is broken out into three 2 - hour sessions on April 7 & 8 for a total of 6 hours each day.  
 

8:30  – 10:30 am Training

10:30 – 11:30 am BREAK 

11:30 am – 1:30 pm  Training

1:30 – 2:30 pm BREAK 

2:30 – 4:30 pm  Training

About the Facilitator
Robyn Priest is the co-found of Robyn Priest LIVE YOUR TRUTH, a mental health and peer support education and strategy firm. Her Post Graduate Diploma involved majoring in Social Research Methods, public Policy and Health care. She has extensive experience working in business, government and non-profit organizations. Known as the Peer Support "Guru" Robyn has been involved in the development and training of mental health and peer support services for over 20 years and in 10 different countries.
