Traditional sales methods are garnering less results today than ever before.  Why is this?  In almost every sector, over the last decade or so, buying habits have slowly been changing.  People today turn less and less to sales / service teams to become educated on the product or service being offered.  They obtain the information they need online before they contact the company at hand.  In addition, they form an opinion on the values and culture of the company.  Companies today need to accept this new world order and take the lead on this process, rather than being reactive to it.   This starts by understanding the online world (websites, social media, etc) but most especially Content Marketing and the process of leveraging your expertise (that you already have) into your online experience such that your prospects and clients experience this before they reach out.
