Tech Manitoba Virtual Collision Day: Building Smart, Safe and Connected Communities post-COVID
Description
COVID-19 has fundamentally changed the way residents live, work and play in Canadian communities. From ensuring residents can safely use public spaces and remain connected in private spaces, to transportation and mobility safety, adequate housing, safe labour practices and beyond, safety is front of mind for communities and local governments of all sizes, and a key challenge to getting our economies back up and running.
Tech companies and communities across the prairies are rising to this challenge. At the Tech Manitoba Collision Day, community challenges and tech solutions collide in an effort to co-create safer, smarter communities. The morning will start off with two panel discussions; one from local leaders in the technology industry discussing how the technology they have created is contributing to making our communities safer and one from communities leaders on how they have pivoted during these times. Later, community and municipal representatives will have the opportunity to meet individually with SMEs working on your community's challenges.
Why should I attend?
This Collision Day is designed to connect tech companies with municipalities, local governments, and Indigenous communities across the prairie provinces to explore how they can harness the power of technology to build safer, smarter communities.
